Here's a little secret: I'm not a doctor. I'm also not a nurse.
I am a Googler and a strong note taker. I will ask questions while the doctor's are rounding and talking about my son. I will re-ask the nurses to explain the doctor's explanations in normal person language.
I'm learning NICU and preemie terminology as I go. Lots of it goes over my head. I'll try my best to explain it here as I interpret it from the doctors and nurses.
