Thirty Three and Thirty Four weeks old

Actual: Thirty Three weeks (April 21 - 27)
Corrected: Twenty weeks
Weight: 13 lb. 13 oz. (April 27th)

This little boy keeps me busy. Since he's not much of a napper, he likes to be entertained most of the day. This leaves little time to sit to blog! He doesn't seem to understand that I'm doing this so he has something to look back on when he's older!

I took Evan to the doctor this week due to his rashes. He is covered in various rashes from his head to the backs of his knees. Thankfully we were prescribed some hydrocortisone and sent on our way. Evan has lotion for his head, cream for his face and ointment for his body. Yeesh, babies and their beauty routines! I also talked to the doctor about Evan's crankiness in the afternoons. She said that it sounds like he's bored. I'm going to try to do a better job of keeping Evan occupied. I think he is also exhausted by the time 3-4pm rolls around. Maybe if he took naps...

Evan rolled from his tummy to his back during PT this week! It was completely accidental and his face was priceless. It was: "Whoa. What just happened?" Now that he's done it once, we've got to try to get him to do it again and again and again.

Do you see my hand Great Grandma?
I don't think you've ever seen a hand as awesome as mine.

Rats, you found me.

Just hanging out with Grandpa and Monster.

Seriously Momma, we're going to have a little toy intervention.

I want this. I want it in my mouth.

Please rescue me from Tool belt Thursday cleaning.

How long before I can have my Wegmans cookie?

I love my burp cloth. Snuggle snuggle.

What do you mean Easter is over? I didn't say it could be over.

Hood up, lookin' for trouble.

Actual: Thirty four weeks (April 28 - May 4)

Corrected: Twenty one
Weight: 13 lbs. 14 oz. (May 4th)

Andrew had to travel for work again this week. Evan and I took a trip to Gma and Grandpa's house. Evan and I are quite the team while we're out running errands. He has no trouble nursing in the car. We're skillfully managing backseat diaper changes too. He's such a patient little shopper too. Gma has set about teaching Evan to blow raspberries (or zerbers). He has the concept down, but hasn't quite mastered it. In the morning, I wake up to him practicing his zerbers. It is the cutest thing. (Nope, he's still in the pack n' play in our room. Maybe by the end of May we'll have him moved upstairs.)

We had a visit with the eye doctor as well. Evan's eyes are looking fine. During our discussion about his nearsightedness, the eye doctor mentioned he would like to try Evan out with a patch. Evan will wear a patch for an hour a day until his next appointment (end of July). The doctor doesn't want to overcorrect the bad eye (his right) so that's why Evan only has to wear it for an hour. So far, Evan doesn't seem to mind it too much. After I put it on him, he immediately held up his hand to make sure it was still there.

During PT, we were discussing his 5 month goals. His therapist said that she'd like to see him rotating in a circle on his belly. As we were discussing the goals, Mr. Pants was working on rotating around. He stayed on his belly for almost the whole 30 minutes. He was shrieking like a little dolphin and rocking back and forth to rotate. Naturally I tried to get him to do it again for Andrew, but no deal.

Gma, this story is funny. Keep reading!

Hehe. I'm Batman!
(Better than Ben Affleck, not as good as Christian Bale though...)

Whisper, whisper, whisper.

Uh oh Daddy, Momma caught us conspiring!

Just hanging out with the toys in the toy store.

Wait! Don't forget me!

Goooooo Yankees!

Sitting up is fun (for 5 seconds before I slide).

Argh me mateys. (Momma said those are dragons on my eye patch.
I think it's silly to have a design on the outside. I can't see through the patch! It should be on the inside.)

Yeah, if you could change the channel, that'd be greeeeeaaaat.
And someone bring me a bottle of cold milk. Baby had a long day shopping.

At Gma's house, I get changed on the poop deck!

Fabric puts me to sleep. Yawn.

  1. All the pictures are great. And I thought I was the only one who got sleepy around fabric. . . . Your blog puts a smile on my face.
